Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Thyme for using the app. By downloading or using Thyme, you agree to them.

Using Thyme

You may use Thyme for your own personal, non-commercial cooking. You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it, or using it to violate any law. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.

Your content

Recipes, photos, notes, and other content you add to Thyme remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, display, and process that content to provide the app to you — for example, saving your photos so they appear on your recipes, or sending a photo to our AI providers when you ask Thyme to detect ingredients. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to any content you import.

AI-generated recipes — please read

Thyme's recipes, ingredient detection, and nutrition estimates are generated by AI and can be wrong. Always use your own judgment before cooking or eating. Check ingredients against your allergies and dietary needs, follow safe food-handling and cooking temperatures, and confirm anything that affects your health. Nutrition figures are estimates, not medical or dietary advice.

Thyme is a cooking aid, not a substitute for professional advice. You cook at your own risk.

Subscriptions

Thyme offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription that unlocks unlimited AI recipes, AI-generated photos, and other premium features. Premium is available as a monthly plan, an annual plan (which may include a free trial), and a one-time lifetime purchase.

Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Managing & canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings. Canceling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
Free trials. If a plan includes a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Lifetime. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks Premium for as long as the app is available; it is not a subscription and does not renew.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. Requests are handled through Apple.

Free-tier limits

The free tier includes a set number of AI actions per month. You can always add and edit recipes manually without limit. Premium removes the AI limits. We may adjust limits or features over time.

Changes to the app

We're always improving Thyme, so features may be added, changed, or removed. We may also update these terms; when we do, we'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Thyme after an update means you accept the new terms.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Thyme is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any outcome related to recipes, ingredients, allergies, or food preparation. This does not limit any rights you have that cannot legally be waived.

Termination

You can stop using Thyme and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or misuse the service.
